Union Fair, Blueberry Festival signs 2025 carnival contract
UNION — The Trustees of the Union Fair Society has signed a contract with Rockwell Amusements to provide carnival rides and attractions during the Union Fair / Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival.
The 2025 Union Fair / Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival will return to a combined five-day event starting on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 and running through Sunday, August 3, 2025. The change in dates to include the first weekend in August will align with Wild Blueberry Weekend, declared by Maine Governor Janet Mills in 2021 and the wild blueberry harvest season.
"Rockwell Amusements is excited to bring back their carnival rides to the people of the Midcoast after being away for a few years," said Rick Butler, in a news release.
Butler is the publicity, entertainment, and marketing head for the Publicity, for Union Fair / Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival.
"With your support and the hard work of The Union Fair Society’s Trustees, volunteers, and members of the Union Fair / Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival will continue to be a staple in local agricultural education and entertainment," said Butler.
