Thrive in Thomaston: New business, community group launches with Feb. 26 meeting
THOMASTON — Business owners, nonprofit leaders, and community stakeholders in Thomaston are invited to the first Thrive in Thomaston meeting, Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 5 - 6:30 p.m., at The Carriage House (9 Green St.).
Thrive in Thomaston is a revitalized and expanded version of the former Main Street Thomaston group, now open to all businesses in town, including those with storefronts, online operations, nonprofits, and churches. The goal is to foster collaboration, networking, and collective marketing efforts to strengthen the local economy.
"This group is an opportunity for business and community leaders to connect, share ideas, and work together to enhance Thomaston's economic vitality," said Kendray Rodriguez, Community & Economic Development Coordinator, in a news release. "By expanding participation, we hope to generate even more energy and excitement around the work we're doing together."
The event will begin with a mix-and-mingle from 5:00 – 5:30 p.m., followed by the business portion of the meeting from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. A selection of light hors d’oeuvres will be available, along with a beer and wine cash bar.
In addition to networking and discussing upcoming events, Susannah Maher from the Midcoast Villager will be on hand to share information about advertising opportunities with the region’s new newspaper.
RSVPs are required by Friday, February 21. To reserve a spot, email krodriguez@thomastonmaine.gov.
