ROCKLAND — On Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 2:30 p.m., join librarians Jessie Blanchard and Patty King for a walk through Achorn Cemetery, located off Old County Rd. 

During the walk, Blanchard and King will talk about gravestone symbolism and tell the stories of four people buried there. Lea Carver will join them to share information about Maine Old Cemetery Association and the website "Find a Grave."

The walk will include uneven surfaces and ups and downs. Participants will meet near the parking area at the cemetery and must sign a release form. Please be sure to park in the designated parking areas or along one side of a lane or avenue.

This event will replace the morning Wednesday Walkers walk for the day. Rain date is October 25.
