Stockton Springs woman arrested, charged with burglary

Reportedly stole money, medication, and gun among other items

    FRANKFORT — A Stockton Springs woman was arrested following an investigation into an early October burglary in the town of Frankfort. 

    Rene Martin, 18, has been charged with burglary and theft relating to the Oct. 3 burglary, according to a press release. 

    The complainant, and resident of the home burglarized, reported that various items had been stolen from the home, including money, medication, a gaming system, and a firearm. 

    Deputy Merl Reed investigated several leads and conducted multiple interviews during his investigation, which ultimately led law enforcement to Martin. 

    Martin was arrested Oct. 24, and transported to Waldo County Correctional Center. She was later released on $1,000 unsecured bail, according to a media report.
