Rockport Harbor Committee to consider designating Goose River outlet area as working waterfront

Thu, 12/05/2019 - 1:15pm

ROCKPORT — The Harbor Committee in Rockport meets this evening, Dec. 5, at the town office, and there, its members will take up the discussion of whether to recommend to the Select and Planning boards for the designation of space along the mouth of the Goose River as working waterfront.

The discussion follows from recent municipal conversations about parking concerns in Rockport Village, and the anticipated comprehensive plan update for the town. It may be a good time for the Harbor Committee to speak to the many ongoing commercial uses of the space along Goose River, according to committee Chairman Sam Temple.

The meeting begins at 5:15 p.m.
