Rockland Police Department adds another new officer to its ranks

    ROCKLAND — Jeff Aeschlimann has been hired as a new Rockland patrol officer, according to a news release from the department.

    Aeschlimann was born and raised in Connecticut. After he graduated from high school, he moved to Maine and enrolled at Unity College.

    “I wanted to be a law enforcement officer because I admired those who serve their communities,” said Aeschlimann.

    “I aspire to be like those who I have looked up to. I am excited for this opportunity and future that is ahead of me," he added.

    Aeschlimann said that he is a new homeowner in Lincolnville with his girlfriend Grace, who he acknowledged as being “a huge support for me and all my goals and aspirations.”

    He enjoys camping, fishing and mowing the lawn.
