Rockland library, local hospitals collaborate for book discussion: Braiding Sweetgrass

    ROCKLAND — Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital and the Rockland Public Library are collaborating to celebrate Native American Heritage Month with a book discussion, Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 5:30 p.m.

    Join a Rockland Public Library librarian, Jessie Blanchard, and a member of MaineHealth’s DEI committee in this one-hour discussion exploring the traditions and cultures presented in the book Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

    Reading or listening to the book first is recommended. There are adaptations for youth available, so kids and teens are also encouraged to join.
