Rest into the New Year, Jan. 5, with Yoga Nidra on Zoom

As a part of Camden Public Library's Jumpstart January series of workshops and programs, wellness coach Hester Kohl Brooks will be offering a session of yoga nidra to "rest into the new year" on Friday, January 5, at 2 p.m., on Zoom. This program is back for the third year.
 
Yoga Nidra is an ancient form of meditation where the body hovers just above true sleep.

“As you follow prompts for breath sensing, body sensing, and guided imagery, your body and mind receive much-needed physical and mental rejuvenation, combining the benefits of meditation with the benefits of sleep,” said CPL, in a news release.
 
“This session will rejuvenate you after the busy holiday season and help you start the new year feeling well-rested,” said the release. “Find a cozy spot to lay down or recline. Grab some blankets and pillows, turn off your camera and find your inner island of peace.”
