Quarry Hill’s monthly Awareness Series to define Parkinson’s Disease

CAMDEN — In recognition of Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month, Quarry Hill’s monthly Awareness Series will focus on the disease with an educational event, Wednesday, April 3, at 1:30 p.m., at the Anderson Inn.

Quarry Hill’s health services coordinator, Christine Waldron, BSN, RN, will cover what Parkinson’s Disease is, early signs, preventative measures and modern treatments. Following the educational portion of the program, Cassandra Walters, facilitator of the area’s Parkinson’s Support Group, will speak about her journey with her own mother and this neurodegenerative disorder.

“Quarry Hill is pleased to host this Awareness Series, addressing a different health-related topic each month,” said Quarry Hill.
