CAMDEN — The much-loved Pearl Street Halloween venue is not happening this year, thanks to COVID-19. There will be no trick-o-treating at the homes that in the past have so graciously accommodated hundreds of Midcoast children over the years.

The residents of Pearl Street are getting many questions, and though they feel like Halloween scrooges, they do not want to encourage masses to congregate.

“Sadly we are not going to be having trick-or-treating as usual on Pearl Street, in Camden,” the organizers of past years said. “We’ve talked with the Select Board and everyone is in agreement that there is no safe way to do it.”
