ROCKLAND — In the opening round of the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference playoffs Wednesday, Sept. 22, the Medomak Valley golf team hosted Morse at the Rockland Golf Club in what amounted to a very close match. 

Medomak Valley tallied a team score of 216 while Morse compiled a score of 233. In match play results, however, the teams were tied at 4.5.

The host Panthers prevailed following a tiebreaker of the winner of the match between the No. 1 golfers from each team. Tyler Metcalf of Medomak Valley was the winner of that match, and the match medalist.
