VASSALBORO — Golfers from the Midcoast and beyond gathered at the Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro Tuesday, Oct. 6 to compete in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference championships. 

Qualifying teams and individuals advance to the state championships. 

Oceanside and Belfast are among the teams advancing to the Class B state championships. 

Area individuals advancing to the Class B Boys Individual Championships are Thomas Parker, Tommy Walker, James Ritter K.J. Payson and Hagen Chase from Belfast; and Austin Chilles, Noah McLellan, Rhys Jones, Bryson Mattox, and Darik Johnson from Oceanside.

State team and individual championships are scheduled for Oct. 9 in Class A and Oct. 10 for Classes B and C at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro.
