North Atlantic Blues Festival this weekend comes with street, park closures
This weekend, the North Atlantic Blues Festival takes over the Rockland Public Landing. Rockland Police Dept. provides the following information and advice:
Please be patient when traveling through town, as the festival always brings a large influx of visitors and with it traffic.
• Thursday night, ALL vehicles must be out of Harbor Park (Rockland Public Landing) for set up. Harbor Park will then be closed for the festival Friday – Sunday.
• Saturday Night is Club Crawl and Main Street will be CLOSED to vehicles from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. (see detour maps). Event begins at 7 p.m.
• No Open Alcohol on Main Street (outside designated areas adjacent restaurant/bars) and Please Do Not Drink and Drive! Driving high or buzzed will get you arrested and puts you and others needlessly at risk. This weekend we will have an increased law enforcement presence to keep everyone safe, including increased traffic enforcement and OUI details.
We hope everyone has a safe and fun Blues Festival this Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
