New grads of Midcoast Leaders Academy hail from diverse career fields

BELFAST — Midcoast Leadership Academy (MLA) has announced the completion of the Academy’s 9th program year. A graduation ceremony was held on June 7 in Belfast.

The organization’s mission is to build a network of informed, committed, and engaged community leaders throughout Knox and Waldo Counties, positively impacting the economic and cultural quality of life in the area by enhancing the professional and personal development of program participants. Guest faculty are drawn from academia, business, government, consulting and the nonprofit sector.

The 9-month community immersion program is designed for existing and emerging adult community leaders, and program participants live and work in Knox and Waldo counties and beyond.
