New art exhibit on display at Pen Bay Medical Center

ROCKPORT — A new temporary art exhibit at Pen Bay Medical Center features work by Craig Voligny, Jonathan Byrer, LeeAnne Mallonne, Margaret Merrill and Robert Steinmetz along the walls of the hospital’s main hallway.
The display is part of an ongoing effort at Pen Bay to display local artists, with each required to have a connection to Maine or New England. Each artist responded to a call for artists request in the spring and was selected by a committee of care team members.
QR codes, which can be scanned by a smartphone or tablet to access the displayed artists’ information, are posted alongside their work.
The current exhibit is on display until Aug. 26, 2024, with the next scheduled to be displayed from Sept. 9 to Nov. 25.
