BELFAST — Cross country runners from Medomak Valley, Oceanside and Belfast competed in the Class B Northern regional championship on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Troy Howard Middle School. 

By the end of the meet, the Medomak Valley girls had earned a team berth in the state championship meet, to be held at Troy Howard on Saturday, Oct. 27. 

In the girls division, Medomak placed fifth with a total time of 1:53:43.40, while Belfast placed eighth with a total time of 2:01:06.70. 

In the boys division, Belfast placed eighth with a total time of 1:38:08.40, while Medomak Valley placed 13th with a total time of 1:53.50.80. Oceanside competed in this division, but did not register a team score.
