VINALHAVEN — It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Mary Ruth Galvin of Vinalhaven. Mary Ruth passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the age of 63.

We don’t know exactly what took her from us, but she fought for two months with multiple complications; however, we find solace knowing that Mary Ruth is finally at peace.

Although her death was unexpected and untimely, Mary Ruth’s light will live on in our hearts and memories. Her spirit will flourish through the numerous stories we all hold onto so dearly.

Mary Ruth’s unconditional love not only comforted but inspired whoever she touched. She had an amazing sense of humor with that beautiful smile and infectious laugh which warmed our souls. Her positive outgoing attitude left family, friends and even strangers lucky enough to cross paths with Mary Ruth feeling better about themselves.

Mary Ruth will be deeply missed by her husband, Harlan G. Warren; her children, Christopher Weller (Ashley) and Amanda Weller; cherished grandchildren Tavis Jason Weller and Curtis Harlan Weller; nephew Connor Lazaro; beloved family Ian Weller (Melissa) and Jennifer Mathews Murray (Ben); brothers Ray, Riley and Dan; sisters Linda (Ted Cooke), Judy (Paul DeShane), Beth (Brian Gillman), Molly (Christian Skotte), Trish (C. Stephen Kaelin) and her precious Beagle, Squash. Mary Ruth’s memories will live on through nieces, nephews and cousins who she held close to her heart.

Mary Ruth is preceded in death by her father ,Robert Martin; mother, Ruth Mary (Miller); step-mother, M. Christine (Konczal); brother Robert (Bob) Martin Jr.; nephew Grant; and mother-in-law, Harriet M. Warren.

Mary Ruth’s family plans to celebrate her life at a later time.
