Marion Louise Huntley, obituary

BELFAST — Marion Louise Huntley, 100, of Belfast, passed away February 8, 2018 in Waterville. She was born May 8,1917 to John and Ella (Gurney) Bibber. Marion worked at Johnson's Lunch, Maplewood Poultry Co. and Stinson Canning Co. until she retired.

She was a great seamstress and enjoyed cooking and canning vegetables from the garden, baking bread every week, and everyone loved her homemade sour pickles. She also enjoyed knitting afghans, mittens and dishcloths. The family enjoyed all the gatherings at her house every Christmas Eve and Sunday dinners, especially out under the maple trees in the summer.

Marion is survived by her daughters, Barbara Doyle and Russell, Polly Davis and Phil, Penny Rae and Cameron "Bo", Ro-Ann Curry and Brian; son David Johnson, daughters-in-law Edythe Brown and Geraldine Stevens; sister-in-law Flossie Bibber; 123 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by husband Edgar Macy Huntley, daughter Patricia K. Riley, son Denny J. Johnson, daughters-in-law Virginia Johnson and Faye Chesterton, brother John Bibber and several grandchildren.
