MaineCF’s Knox County committee welcomes two new members
Jane Lafleur of Camden and Yvonne Thomas of Vinalhaven have joined the Maine Community Foundation’s (MaineCF) Knox County Committee.
MaineCF’s county committees are made up of community members who live or work in the county and serve as local ambassadors for the foundation, sharing their knowledge and providing on-the-ground local leadership for the foundation, according to MaineCF, in a news release.
Lafleur is a former city planner and is former president of the West Bay Rotary Club and former board member of the Knox Mill East Owners Association. Thomas is the Sunbeam education coordinator for Maine Seacoast Mission and serves on the boards of Mid-Coast School of Technology, Trekkers and Vinalhaven Land Trust.
Other committee members include Joelle Albury and Jessie Davis of Rockland; Maggi Blue of Warren; Mike Felton of St. George; Julia Maher of Owls Head; Elaine Ng of Hope; Cyndi Price of Camden; and Heather Wyman of Appleton.
The Knox County Committee’s volunteer advisors review grant proposals for MaineCF’s Community Building Grant Program and recommend grant awards from the Knox County Fund.
Community Building supports a broad range of projects and organizations across the state, including arts, education, environment, economic development, and human services. In 2025, the Knox County Fund awarded 12 grants totaling $105,000.
