Maine Water appoints Mike Ames as Camden-Rockport division superintendent

    Maine Water Company said Aug. 5 that Mike Ames has been appointed the new Superintendent of the Camden Rockland Division. Ames was formerly at Farley, Inc. where he gained more than 20 years of experience as a team leader and project manager, according to a news release.

    “We are pleased to have Mike on board and contributing to Maine Water,” said Rick Knowlton, President of Maine Water. “Mike has track record of service to his community and to the environment that aligns perfectly with our values. His experience in project management, customer service, contract negotiation and communications makes him a great addition to our team.”

    Ames holds an associate’s degree in plants and soils from Southern Maine Technical College and lives in Hope, where he also served in the past as a Select Board member.

    As Superintendent, he will lead the day to day operations of the water utilities serving the mid-coast communities of Camden, Rockport, Rockland, Owls Head, Thomaston, Warren, Union, Waldoboro, Tenants Harbor and Vinalhaven.
