CAMDEN — “Camden Opera House, 29 Elm St., is pleased to bring a true family-friendly magic show to town!” said the Opera House, in a news release.

The Magic of Lyn, featuring acclaimed illusionist Lyn Dillies, will be presented Saturday, April 27, at 4 p.m.

“Master illusionist Lyn Dillies has mesmerized audiences of all ages throughout the United States and Canada for more than three decades,” said COH. “Hailed as the finest female magician in the land, Dillies has an engaging personality – and some of the most spectacular, eye-defying illusions in magic today.”

Dillies was the first female illusionist ever to be presented the prestigious Milbourne Christopher Award from the Society of American Magicians (the equivalent of receiving an Academy Award in the magic industry).

The Magic of Lyn infuses all the spectacle and flash of Vegas into an enchanting, family-friendly event. She has played venues as grand as New York City’s Lincoln Center and as intimate as Hollywood’s legendary Magic Castle.

“Wherever she brings her 90-minute extravaganza, she delivers an experience that defies the mind, stimulates the senses, warms the soul and leaves audiences with something to talk about for years to come,” said the release.

In addition to The Magic of Lyn, Dillies tours North America with her public service campaign, Your Vote is Magic. She also has released a DVD and book titled Learn Magic with Lyn that has received several awards from national organizations that honor the best in children's entertainment and educational products.

Tickets for The Magic of Lyn are $20/$12 younger than 13, in advance; $25/$15 day-of-show, via camdenoperahouse.com. The performance is sponsored by 40 Paper.
