ROCKLAND — The Coastal Children’s Museum recently received a donation from  Melanie Ellsworth, a local children’s book author.

When Ellsworth heard about the Coastal Children’s Museum’s April Read a Thon, she offered to give the museum signed copies of her two latest children’s books, Hip Hip Beret and Clarinet and Trumpet.

“The Coastal Children’s Museum is thrilled to have these wonderful stories in their library,” said the Museum, in a news release.

Ellsworth has said that she will read to the museum members when the museum reopens.

If you would like to support a local writer, you can reach Melanie Ellsworth on Facebook or on the web www.MelanieEllsworth.com.

“Melanie Ellsworth’s books are creative, funny, poignant and beautifully illustrated!” said the Museum.
