CASTINE — Castine Cruises has acquired the Lil’ Toot, a 26-ft Crosby Tug with 36 years of passenger service.

Lil’ Toot is now offering harbor tours daily from the Castine Town Dock. In addition, the vessel is available for launch service to Holbrook Island.

Each trip is available for up to 18 guests.

The daily Harbor Tours are 1.5 hours and explore the shoreline of Castine, nose into the rocky coves of Brooksville and Smith Cove, or cruise up the Bagaduce River. Trips can be customized depending on the weather and guest interest.

The Holbrook Island Excursions combine the 1.5 hour Harbor Tour with a drop-off and pickup service to the Holbrook Island Sanctuary. Guests spend time ashore exploring the island trails, beaches or having a picnic.

Cyclists may inquire about shuttle service between Castine and Goose Falls park docks for their Blue Hill Peninsula cycle tours.

The vessel is equipped with large bench seating and a covered awning, perfect for seeing the shoreline in comfort. Guests are welcome to bring picnic items and/or BYOB.

Prices start at $41 for adults and $30 for children between the ages of 3 to 12. Children ages 2 and under ride for free. Private Charter and Group Rates are available for any trip.
