ROCKLAND — Café Miranda and the Knox County Homeless Coalition reports  that the inaugural Oak St. Food And Beverage Fest (FAB Fest) that took place on Oct. 17, in Rockland was a success.

It was a fun day of live music from Blood Orange Martini, delicious food, beverages, and fun. $3,805 was raised for the Knox County Homeless Coalition and the vital work that they perform for the greater Midcoast area. The Fab Fest was made possible with the generous support of our sponsors, the Strand Theatre, Horch Roofing, Allen Insurance Agency, Wallace Events, Rock City Coffee, Rock Coast Rollers, Atlantic Brewing Company, Central Distributors, and Head Acre Farm.

The Knox County Homeless Coalition (Hospitality House) and their 'Home, Help, and Hope' message is something we can all understand and appreciate. The Knox County Homeless Coalition strives to be the center of excellence in breaking cycles of poverty and homelessness in Mid-coast Maine. They offer a comprehensive approach to helping vulnerable people build productive and self-sustaining lives by providing intensive wraparound client care as well as shelter when possible. Everything they do is delivered with respect, dignity, and genuine caring, delivering on a promise of home, help, and hope. The planning for the 2016 Fab Fest is underway, and we anticipate an even bigger event.
