According to a news release, the free one-day educational event will introduce participants to the principles of liberty horsemanship while emphasizing trust, communication, and partnership between horse and human.
The morning session will feature Patrick demonstrating liberty work with his own herd, followed by an afternoon session working with horses from BRER. The demonstrations will highlight how liberty horsemanship techniques can benefit horses of all ages and backgrounds, including rescues, senior horses, and horses that are no longer ridden.
"This part of the day will be enjoyed by both owners and those who simply love horses," said the release.
“Whether you ride competitively, trail ride, or simply want a deeper relationship with your horse, liberty training offers a unique way to build trust and communication,” said organizers. “This is an opportunity to see firsthand how a willing partnership can be developed through patience, understanding, and clear communication.”
BRER hopes the event will inspire horse owners throughout the region while showcasing the remarkable potential of rescued horses.
