John Scofield Trio headlines Jazz in June Camden Maine 2026

Saturday, June 13, 2026 - 07:30 pmThe Midcoast’s own jazz festival, Jazz in June Camden Maine, runs Friday to Sunday, June 12-14. Downtown Camden will be filled with live music all weekend as Jazz in June presents multiple performances. In addition to the two ticketed feature concerts at the Camden Opera House, there will be indoor and outdoor concerts, cocktail-hour sets, a morning Java Jazz, an acoustic piano pre-show reception and a wharf-side performance to cap the festival Sunday afternoon.
Headlining the festival on Saturday, June 13 is the acclaimed John Scofield Trio, which features three-time Grammy Award winning guitarist and composer John Scofield, bass player Vicente Archer and percussionist Bill Stewart.
"Their music is intricate, personal and complex, highlighting a repertoire of Scofield compositions and jazz standards along with material ranging from Bob Dylan to Miles Davis," said an Opera House news release.

On Friday, June 12, the headliner is the Savani Latin Jazz Quartet.
"Traditional rhythms of Cuba and South America are given flight with jazz arrangements that highlight the improvisatory prowess of the musicians," said the news release. "Elspeth Savani has had the great fortune of working closely with 3-time Latin Grammy winner Carlos Cascante, internationally renowned Cuban tres player Kiki Valera (of La Familia Valera Miranda) and Brazilian jazz master pianist, Jovino Santos Neto."
Opening will be special guests the Edwards/Haines Duo, a musical collaboration between Portland, Maine-based jazz musicians Duane Edwards (bassist) and Evan Haines (guitarist).

Daytime Jazz in June performers are the MCMA Faculty Jazz Ensemble, David Clarke & Melissa Elliotte, UMaine Augusta Jazz Allstars, New Shades of Blue, the Bobby Katz Duo, Myles Kelley, and the Bay Chamber Jazz Ensemble.
