Georges River Land Trust announces 2026 Watershed Workshop series at Langlais Art Preserve
Exploring our human fascination with birds through storytelling and sculpture; investigating the intertwined acts of image-making and foraging; and finding magic in an acorn—these are just some of the experiences on offer in the 2026 Watershed Workshop series at Georges River Land Trust’s Langlais Art Preserve, according to GRLT, in a news release.
"Hosted monthly from May to October, Watershed Workshops are designed to inspire interest in the local ecology of the St. George River watershed through creative, hands-on and embodied experiences—learning through walking, making, and direct engagement with the landscape," said GRLT.
Workshops will feature presentations by the hosting artists, all of whom incorporate environmental themes or natural materials into their own creative work, as well as guided nature exploration, hands-on art projects, and group discussions.
Workshops are offered with a “pay what you can” registration fee. There is a $10 suggested donation per workshop, but donations are not required.
These workshops are geared toward teens and adults. No art experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
