Frankfort man arrested for domestic violence
WINTERPORT — A Frankfort man was arrested Dec. 22, after law enforcement received reports he had been involved in a domestic disturbance.
Deputy Andrew Mulligan and Sgt. Cody Laite, of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene on Stream Road.
While speaking with the complainant, Deputy Mulligan learned that Ly Ha, 44, had arrived at the residence to pick up his child.
The complainant stated they attempted to speak with Ha about the child, but that he had instead shoved them to the ground, according to a press release.
Ha then left the residence with his child in tow.
Sergeant Laite and Deputy Mulligan located Ha and his child at his home in Frankfort, where he was placed under arrest for domestic assault.
During the course of the investigation it was discovered that Ha’s license was currently under suspension and he was also charged with operating after suspension.
Ha was transported to the Waldo County Correctional Center where he was later released on $500 bail.
