Film Club at Rockland Public Library to watch "Close Up"
ROCKLAND — Film Club at the Rockland Public Library will meet Monday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m., in the Library's Board Room.
"It’s like a book club but with movies," said RPL, in a news release.
Watch the selected film on your own and then join the group for a lively discussion each month. Plots, themes, characters, soundtracks, symbolism, cinematography, and more are all discussion options. From casual viewers to cinephiles, all levels of interest in film are welcome.
This month’s discussion is centered on the 1990 Iranian film Close-Up.
The group is facilitated by Phil Jellen and meets the second Monday of each month. This club is for adults.
The Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St. For more information or with questions, call 594-0310 or email refdesk@rocklandmaine.gov.
