Family-Friendly Oktoberfest at Rockport Community Park, Oct. 12
ROCKPORT — Dust off your lederhosen and get ready to celebrate. Legacy Rockport and the RES Programming Committee announce Oktoberfest, a family-friendly event that promises fun for all ages. The celebration will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 12 to 3 p.m., at the Rockport Community Park, 40 West Street in Rockport. This event is free and open to everyone!
This year's Oktoberfest will feature German food and local brews for sale provided by E. Wales Hospitality.
"From bratwurst to pretzels, there will be plenty of authentic flavors to savor," said Rockport Community Park, in a news release. "Beer enthusiasts can look forward to sampling a selection of craft beers from local breweries, making this a true culinary experience."
There's plenty for the kids too. Young festival-goers can enjoy a variety of exciting activities, including:
- Face painting and temporary tattoos
- Gaga ball, a fast-paced sport for all ages, provided by the Penobscot Bay YMCA
- A bouncy house for energetic fun
"Whether you're coming for the food, drinks, or entertainment, Oktoberfest at the Rockport Community Park offers something for everyone," said the release. "It's the perfect event to bring the whole family, enjoy the fall weather, and make lasting memories."
