SEARSPORT — The Maine Department of Transportation will be replacing a culvert on Mt. Ephraim Road in Searsport.

The project area is just north of Route 1.

Work is scheduled to begin on August 10 and be finished by September 4.

This culvert replacement will involve a full road closure that could last for 14 days.

The detour route is 3.5 miles and will be marked by signage.

The contractor on this project is Gardner Construction Enterprises out of Bangor. The contract amount is $254,000.
