Climate series explores "Driving Greener" at Rockport library
ROCKPORT — The next program in the Rockport Conservation Commission’s Climate Series at the Rockport Public Library will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 6 p.m. Hear from a panel of local experts who will be discussing electric vehicle options, public transportation, and ways that the State of Maine is supporting moves toward sustainable transportation.
Jessica Scott is a Senior Climate Advisor with the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future, where she leads work on topics including clean transportation. Jessica has more than a decade of climate and environmental policy expertise, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment.
Jon Gagne is the Sustainability Program Coordinator at the Greater Portland Council of Governments, where he runs Drive Electric Maine, an education and engagement network for people working with, or interested in, electric vehicles. Jonathan holds a B.S. in Environmental and Resource Economics from the University of New Hampshire.
Michael Hallundbaek is the Director of Transportation at Waldo Community Action Partners, where he is a passionate advocate for local public transportation. He has extensive knowledge about funding, management, and operations of local transit systems.
