Christian Bryant, obituary
LINCOLNVILLE — Christian Mark Bryant was granted his angel wings on March 30, 2015, following a long battle with cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born Dec. 12, 2010.
Christian's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He had big, beautiful hazel colored eyes that held a depth of knowledge and understanding that is hard to put into words. Many described him as "an old soul." His playful grin captured the hearts of many. Even on some of his harder days, Christian wore his larger-than-life smile. He taught us all to appreciate the precious moments of life and to smile even when our hearts are breaking.
During the many stages of Christian's illness, he always possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He could spend hours playing with his "Thomas" trains and watching his favorite shows while cuddling close to those he loved so much. He absolutely loved music! From early on he would get up and dance and you would always hear him singing along to his favorite songs and TV shows. While living in San Diego, Calif., Christian had the opportunity to experience some gorgeous days at the beach and never wanted to leave. He loved splashing in the waves and playing with his trucks in the sand. Christian had also become an expert at Mario Kart in his few short years.
With Christian's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his silly little voice and beautiful smile, he will forever remain in our hearts. Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents. We are so thankful Christian's sister, Arianna, met her brother so she can hold dear the memory of his gentle spirit.
Christian is survived by his loving parents, Christopher and Jensen Bryant of Lincolnville; his sister, Arianna Bryant; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Schade of Belmont; his maternal grandmother, Sandra Hayes of Winterport; his paternal grandfather, Charles Bryant of Indianapolis, Ind.; his maternal grandfather, Mart Pizana of Petaluma Calif.; his uncles, Alexander and Max Bryant of Belmont, and Sonny and Dante Pizana of Petaluma, Calif.; his aunts, Keira and Tari Hayes of Winterport and Biddeford, and Morgan and Jordan Pizana of Petaluma, Calif.
