ROCKPORT — “Rockport, Maine is the place to be for New Years,” said the Town of Rockport, in a news release. “There is no setting quite as spectacular as the harbor for a winter night gathering.”

Festivities will begin in the village as the sun sets and night comes on. Luminaries will light the way.

“Food Trucks provide delicious nourishment, Fire Pits for cozy warmth, and a DJ will be offering musical JOY! Come gather with the community of Rockport on Sunday, December 31st.”

Join others starting at 4:30 p.m. Fireworks at 6 p.m. over the Harbor.

The fun continues at the Rockport Opera House from 8:30 p.m. - midnight.

“Creatures of Habit will have us dancing and Rockin’ into the New Year,” said the release. “Creatures of Habit has been a Midcoast favorite for many years and it is rare that we get the chance to be a part of their magic. Come on out and celebrate the New Year in community.

Limited tickets available on the Rockport Opera House website. Cash Bar by E. Wales Hospitality and a selection of sweet and savory nibbles will be available for purchase.
