CAMDEN — An ATV rollover on the Camden Snow Bowl access road to the summit resulted in one man being rescued by Camden police, Snow Bowl employees, a game warden and Camden firefighters, and transported down the hill in a larger ATV to a waiting North East Mobile Health Services ambulance.

Two men, cell phone subcontractors, were ascending Ragged Mountain to the cell towers at the summit when the ATV, carrying them both, flipped over on loose gravel, with the ATV landing on one of them. The crash occurred near Tower 9, which is two thirds of the way up the access road.

    Both were wearing helmets.

Camden Police Sgt. Allen Weaver rode up the mountain in a Snow Bowl pickup truck, and was first on scene to assist the men.

While both men were injured, just one was transported to Pen Bay Medical Center, in Rockport.
