Camden Hills Boys Tennis Team advances to semifinals following May 29 match with Edward Little High School

Camden Hills’ Five Senior Tennis Players: Graham Eggena, Mac Pierce, Coach Noah Capetta, Manny Mosheyev, Blake Christie, Sam Thumith. (Photo courtesy Gary Spinney)At a May 29 home match at Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport, the Camden Hills Boys’ tennis compiled a quarter final postseason win over Edward Little High School.
Camden Hills now advances to the Class A North semifinal round against No. 4 Mt. Ararat in Rockport. In the regular season, the Windjammers defeated Mt. Ararat twice, 3-2 and 4-1.
Individual results from the match with Camden Hills players listed first were: Singles, Oscar Barnes defeated Calvin Vincent 7-5, 7-6(4); Blake Christie defeated Ryan Manson, 6-0, 6-1; and Zach Mason lost to Kadan Roussel-Haider 6-4, 0-6, 6-7(4).
In doubles, Graham Eggena and Mac Pierce defeated Adrian Otim and Gavin Pelletier 6-0, 6-3; and Thomas Hollins and Jack Christie defeated Lucas Doucette and Luke Wilson 6-2, 6-1.
