ROCKPORT — Camden Hills Regional High School has announced its 2018 homecoming schedule and would like to invite all community members to join the homecoming celebrations that will be hosted by Student Council and Captain’s Council. 

“We have a full slate of events and games planned that highlight our fall athletic teams and many of our very talented musicians,” said Camden Hills athletic director Steve Alex in a press release. 

Highlighting the event will be the school’s first ever under the lights field hockey contest on Thursday, Sept. 27. 

Additionally, the school will be hosting a community lunch Saturday, Sept. 29 from noon to 4 p.m. with free hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones and a bounce house. The school asks all community members to bring side dishes to share with neighbors and friends. Side dishes can be dropped off at the tent located next to Don Palmer Field from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Camden Hills is able to provide this opportunity free to the public courtesy of a generous grant from the Bisbee Fund that supports the school, according to a press release.

“Homecoming is our way of building goodwill and giving back to the communities that support us,” Alex said. 

The cross country program will be hosting a 5K Foot Race on Saturday, Oct. 6. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the high school and will cost $20. For more information, email Helen Bonzi at helen.bonzi@fivetowns.net.
