Camden Hills alpine, Nordic ski ring in 2019 with ski events

BETHEL and RUMFORD — The Camden Hills alpine and Nordic ski teams hit the road over the weekend with the alpine Windjammers competing at Rumford’s Black Mountain on Friday, Jan. 4 and the Nordic Windjammers competing at Bethel’s Telstar High School. 

Below are the results from both ski programs. 

Alpine Skiing

In the boys division, Camden Hills finished fourth with 730 points. 

In the girls division, Camden Hills finished 15th with 321 points.

Nordic Skiing

In the first wave, the Camden Hills contingent finished in 26th place with a time of 41:36.3.

Those representing Camden Hills in the first group included Ian Orsmond (9.29.3), Elias Porter (10:05.6), Allie Gill (12:24.0) and Grace Wrona (9:37.3). 

In the second wave, the Camden Hills contingent finished in 24th place with a time of 54:45.6. 

Those representing Camden Hills in the second group included Greg Cameron (15:57.1), Wilson Gray (10:31.1), Alley Johnson (13:58.7) and Shiyan Kesser (14:14.6). 

Individual Camden Hills racers not in a group included Chloe Cognard (seventh, 15:26.4) and Delia Cognard (eighth, 18:04.2).
