WALDOBORO — Waldoboro Public Library will be holding an online auction and is seeking submissions now. Great Art for Great Reads auction will accept up to two original works by artists and artisans, to be submitted by August 25 and displayed at the library. Works will be juried by the library trustees.

Go the Facebook page, Great Art for Great Reads, for full information and a submission form. Artists can set a reserve price and designate the amount of the sale price, after fees, that they would like to keep. The remainder will go toward helping to fund the library.

The online auction will be open for bids from September 25 through October 8.

“This is a great opportunity to both present your work to a broad audience, and to support a great local library!” said the Library, in a news release.
