ROCKPORT — Saturday, May 4, Aldermere Farm, at 20 Russell Ave, will open its doors and barnyard to the public during Calf Unveiling Day to introduce the newest members of Aldermere’s Belted Galloway herd.

From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. volunteers will give behind-the-scenes tours of the barnyard and the calves born this spring. MCHT staff will share information about the educational youth agriculture programs offered at Aldermere Farm and MCHT’s nearby Erickson Fields Preserve. Visitors will meet the Belted Galloway calves born this spring and the 4-H members and volunteers who care for the herd.

This year’s event will feature live music performed by The Rusty Hinges and local fare from Stone Fox Creamery’s ice cream truck and the Uproot Pie Co.’s mobile wood-fire pizza oven.
