Burnham man arrested after argument turns violent
BURNHAM — A Burnham man is facing a variety of charges after a domestic dispute reportedly turned violent.
Randolph Dodge, 44, first came to the attention of Waldo County Sheriff’s Office deputies around 8:30 p.m. June 26, when they received a report of domestic violence at a residence in Burnham, according to a press release from Chief Deputy Jeff Trafton.
Sgt. James Greeley and Deputy Daniel Thompson, both of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene and were able to make contact with the alleged victim.
The woman told officers that her boyfriend had allegedly assaulted her physically by pulling her hair, hitting her and holding her down on the floor. The victim told deputies that Dodge had also threatened her while holding a knife to her throat.
Dodge was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault, domestic violence reckless conduct, obstructing the report of a crime and domestic terrorizing with a dangerous weapon.
Dodge is scheduled to appear in Waldo County Superior Court July 31.
