Belfast Police beat: OUI, failure to appear
BELFAST — The Belfast Police Department reported the following activity July 19-26. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.
July 15
Mark Smith, 27, of Belfast, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Swan Lake Avenue.
July 17
Shawn L. Merrill, 49, of Belfast, was arrested for operating under the influence and operating with a license in violation of condition/restriction on Front Street.
July 19
Erin R. Beeton, 21, of Stockton Springs, was issued summonses for attachment of false plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle (150+ days past expiration), and operating after suspension on City Point Road.
July 22
Nikolaus J. Curtis, 26, of Belfast, was arrested for operating under the influence on Route 1.
July 24
Shayla Belote, 28, of Belfast, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Searsport Avenue.
July 26
Tyler R. Ellsworth, 19, of Swanville, was arrested for violating conditions of release, operating after suspension, and failure to appear. Ellsworth was also issued summonses for an inspection sticker violation and failure to provide proof of insurance.
