Act of Kindness
To the unknown woman in the Rockland Hannaford parking lot:
The other day you gave my 91-year-old friend a small, brightly-colored plant. You said you were looking for someone to put a smile on one’s face — YOU DID!
Little did you know that only minutes ago, she had been at the Staple's parking lot. As she often does, she uses a shopping cart to put her items in, as a walker which she now has to use, and parks in a handicapped parking space, legitimately.
After shopping at Staples, the cashier told her to leave the shopping cart aside, out of the space and she would retrieve it for her.
After unloading her item, she did as instructed, a woman approached her and scolded her for leaving the shopping cart there. My friend explained that the clerk had told her to do this, which made no difference as she stormed off with the cart. How humiliating!
Your act of kindness was the perfect antidote. I am very grateful for your tender, caring and loving gesture.
