3D engineering survey underway at Quantabacook Lake to improve alewives run to the sea

Mon, 10/05/2020 - 6:45pm
On September 15, the Maine Department of Marine Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service conducted an extensive 3D engineering survey at Quantabacook Lake dam in Searsmont. The collection of detailed low water datapoints and aerial drone images will allow FWS to implement an engineering solution for improving sea run river herring (alewives) passage to and from the lake into the Gulf of Maine.
