Camden Rotary Club Announces $45,000 in Scholarships to Graduating Seniors

The Camden Rotary Club is pleased to announce the recipients of its annual scholarships. In total, the Club has issued $45,000 to support the educational pursuits of the following local students at the institutions they listed on their applications: 

 

·        Audrey Bowman ($4,000), Boston College, MA

·        Sage Curtis ($5,000), Northeastern University, MA

·        Eleanor Greer ($4,000) Pitzer College, CA

·        Kaylyn Krul ($4,000), Colby College, ME

·        Elaine Landry ($4,000) Muhlenberg College, PA

·        Iris Luce ($2,000), Connecticut College, CT

·        Meredith Luce ($2,000), Smith College, MA

·        Samuel Maltese ($4,000), Temple University, PA

·        Frances Ostensen ($4,000), Wesleyan College, CT

·        Audrey Scott ($4,000), Ithaca College, NY

·        Gus Vietze ($4,000) University of Rochester, NY 

“The Camden Rotary Club is pleased to support this year’s scholarship award winners,” said Audrey Klein-Leach, Chair of the Camden Rotary Club Scholarship Committee. “Particularly in these challenging times, students need all the financial and emotional support they can get. When the Camden Rotary Club grants scholarships, we give more than money: we give our complete encouragement. We are so proud of all these students have achieved and look forward to witnessing their future accomplishments.”

About the Camden Rotary Club. The Camden Rotary Club has served the community since 1925, raising funds to help local nonprofit organizations and providing volunteer services. Since 2011, the club has invested $238,000 in the community via its grants to nonprofit organizations in Knox County and Lincolnville. The Club has also invested in local students by awarding $149,000 in scholarships since 2017. In addition to awarding charitable grants and scholarships each year, the Club recently deployed an emergency task force to help nonprofit organizations in Knox County and Lincolnville that are most directly impacted by the pandemic.
