AWESOME SALAD LUNCHEON AT CAMDEN CHURCH JULY 17
Event has passed
The John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John Street, Camden, invites the public to sit down to a delightful summer salad luncheon from 11 to 1 on Thursday, July 17. Now in its 27th year, the tradition continues of offering guests a chance to relax out of the sun (or rain!) while visiting with other diners and sampling the buffet selections.
Since the first luncheon held in 1987at the Monument Square Camden Methodist Church (now the Steeples Condominiums) many of the food items have become traditional for the occasion, and repeat visitors frequently look for their favorites, including blueberry salad and lemon bisque along with home-roasted turkey. Fresh spinach ,rice, potato, fruit and jellied salads, plus a variety of fresh green salads are also on the menu, rounded out by rolls and cool and hot beverages: lemonade, iced tea, water, coffee and tea. Dessert will be a special homemade treat.
Although the date of the event is selected to coincide with the annual Camden Garden Club House and Garden Tour, the church welcomes the general public as well as tourers. The bargain price for this great meal is $10 for adults, $5 for children under age 12.
