BELFAST — Join Megan Pinette, Belfast Historian and Cemetery Trustee, on Saturday, Sept. 16, for a walking tour of Grove Cemetery, located at 21 Belmont Ave.
Meet at the Cemetery Chapel – the tour begins at 1 p.m. The restored Cemetery Chapel will be open from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m., and light refreshments will be served.
A suggested donation of $10 is requested to benefit the Chapel Fund.
The tour will last about an hour and will feature Belfast notables buried in the old tree-lined section. 2023 marks the 250th anniversary of the incorporation of Belfast as a town. Several of the early settlers will be featured on this tour.
