Public invited to hear update about RES community park project

Event has passed

ROCKPORT — The Town of Rockport and The Lesher Family Foundation invite residents to a meeting Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 5:30 p.m., at the Rockport Public Library on the lower level.

The purpose is to update the community on the RES park project's next steps and to identify how individuals can get involved. Specifically, the project team led by Viewshed (formerly Terry DeWan's firm TJD&A), will present a preliminary timeline and overview of the process – touching on planning, development, and established public-private partnership models for sustaining shared spaces such as community parks.

“The TOR and The LFF were thrilled to see the overwhelming support for this community park project at the June vote,” according to a news release. “We want to carry that enthusiasm forward as we work collaboratively towards an outcome that residents will value, enjoy, and embrace. All are welcome.”

This meeting will be recorded for those who cannot attend.

For questions about the project, please contact The LFF's Maine Director, Mary Jane Young, at mjyoung@lesherfamfdn.org
