Premiere of locally produced film “River’s Edge” at Strand Theatre, July 5
The Strand Theatre and Room 310 Media co-present the world premiere of Rivers Edge, a new production from young local filmmaker Michael Russillo, on Saturday, July 5, at 5:30 p.m. Mostly shot in the greater Rockland/Knox County area, the film features some well-known local talent, according to the Strand, in a news release. The screening will be introduced by Russillo and assistant director/writer Piper Pavelich.
Rivers Edge explores the lives of twin siblings Kash and Hadley Rivers, and their best friend Riley Tellier. While navigating personal challenges, family tensions, and figuring out their futures, their aspirations for a fresh start after high school aren’t as straightforward as they seemed.
The film stars Jared Lennon, Cora Maple Lindell, Isaiah Morrissey, and David Troup.
Director Michael Russillo grew up in Camden and studied film production at Keene State College. Assistant Director Piper Pavelich is a professional writer and journalist. Russillo and Pavelich collaborated on a story that’s deeply personal to them. Russillo is a partner and co-founder of Room 310 Media, a collection of creatives who aim to bring storytellers’ ideas to life. Rivers Edge is his directorial debut, and Room 310 Media’s first feature-length film. Pre-production started in the fall of 2023, with production taking place in the summer of 2024.
This film is appropriate for ages 16+ due to the use of profanity.
