Mallett Brothers Band to kickoff Toboggan Nationals weekend
CAMDEN — The Camden Opera House, 29 Elm St., brings back The Mallett Brothers Band as a kickoff to the Toboggan Nationals weekend Friday, Feb. 2, at 7:30 p.m. Dominic Lavoie will open the concert, which is sponsored by 40 Paper Italian Bistro.
Since forming in 2009, The Mallett Brothers Band has built a dedicated fanbase across the country and beyond, while still calling the state of Maine their home. With a style that ranges from alt-country to Americana, country, jam and roots rock, TMMB is influenced equally by the singer/songwriter tradition and harder rock, classic country and psychedelic sounds. Their Camden stop is part of a winter tour taking them to all around New England and upstate New York.
Bandmembers are Luke and Will Mallett on vocals, acoustic and electric guitar; Nick Leen on bass; Andrew Martelle on vocals, fiddle, mandolin and guitar; and Brian Higgins on drums.
Dominic Lavoie is a Portland-based singer-songwriter, musician and producer who has shared the stage with Rayland Baxter, Los Lobos, Dr Dog, Guster and, often, The Mallett Brothers Band.
Choose-your-own reserved seat tickets, on sale now at camdenoperahouse.com, are $25 in advance/$29 day-of-show.
